, grew up in rural Virginia, just east of Patsy Cline’s hometown. A common weary break of the voice, a tug of the lonesome, can be detected in her singing. Richards has been a central member of the U.S. Girls band and most recently was one of many musicians chosen by Meg Remy to help record her acclaimed album Heavy Light (4AD), at Hotel2Tango.

She released her debut record, The Language Shadow in 2020. In February of 2024 Richards released a record with Aidan Coughlan called When We Were Wolves, and has now just released her newest record, New Love Meditation.

 are here to have a good time, and part of that process includes getting the bad stuff off their chest. How do you balance an at-times ridiculous approach with heavy subjects? “Honestly it's kind of a way to make those topics more digestible,” said singer Faith Callaway. “They are so serious, and especially live. I'm always down in the crowd and it's pretty aggressive because I'm screaming in your face, but then I always follow it with a giant smile, you know?”
The Chicago five-piece are goofy and loud and not afraid to get dirty—arguably more literally than most. Callaway, guitarist Will Sallee, and saxophonist Tyler Meneese formed the band while picking soil out from under their fingernails during their day jobs as landscapers, quickly bonding over their love of high-octane music, cheeky convos, and a need to push for better societal growth. Edging is both an expected double entendre in regards to its risque sexual reference, and an unexpected double entendre when it comes to its family-friendly gardening term. It’s form-fitting for a band of proud, hands-on punks.

Quinn Brodsky is a folk and alternative musician from Texas. She is the lead singer of Tailwind, a Boston-based funk-rock band and one half of the duo SIBLINGS.

Growing up on the mean streets of Texas, Quinn survived by participating in numerous petty scams and by smuggling roadkill and twinkies across the border into Oklahoma. One fateful night, after evading the sheriff by disguising herself as a tumbleweed, Quinn rolled into a bar and experienced live music for the first time. She knew immediately that it was time to change her ways and devote her life to music (with physics as a side-hustle just in case). Time for some fun facts! Few people know that when Quinn sings, the sound is actually coming out of her eyeballs. Because this is occasionally seen as disconcerting by the audience, Quinn has trained extensively in the art of lip-syncing to hide this, going so far as to study the art under the legendary performer RuPaul.

Moontype is an American indie rock band from Chicago, Illinois. The group was originally a solo project of vocalist Margaret McCarthy while she attended Oberlin College, but later expanded into a full band with guitarist Ben Cruz and drummer Emerson Hunton. As a solo project, McCarthy released her first EP under the Moontype alias titled Fan Music. The band released their debut full-length album, Bodies of Water, in 2021 on Born Yesterday Records.

Moontype expanded into a fully-fledged four-piece since the release of their Bodies of Water LP. The band now features Emerson Hunton on drums, and Joe Suihkonen and Andrew Clinkman on guitar.

In 2025, Moontype signed to Orindal Records, the label run by Advance Base’s Owen Ashworth. The signing coincided with the release of their first music since 2021, single "Long Country."

As USX enters their third decade as a band, they continue to push their sound into challenging new territory, blending wall- of-sound torrents of guitar, melancholic Appalachian dirge, and experimental electronic textures into a seamless and intense whole.

Planning for Burial is the musical project of American musician and singer-songwriter Thom Wasluck. Based in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, Wasluck started to perform as "Burial" in 2005 and released the debut album, Leaving in 2009. Wasluck plays all instruments during both his home recordings and live performances.

Nightosphere seem to have found themselves at a certain stage in being a band. After several years of playing and performing together, they’ve defined a sound and identity for themselves to stand on. Katabasis, their album from last year, contains the downtrodden slowcore sound fit for many of the wide open, grey expanses found in the Great Plains area.
This though, is enlivened through dark, western sounding flourishes, and an eerie but reassuring etherealness that transudes throughout its runtime. It’s expressive and has a feeling of resolution.-- POST-TRASH

Tending little forest traps for one another, blurring the line between negligence and agility, like an old drunk, elegantly riding the waves of Live Oak roots in the brick sidewalks, almost home.

LAVENDER BLUE - The vessel for the songwriting and guitar playing of Kayla Zuskin. Lavender Blue the band consists of Mike Henry Johnson on Pedal Steel and Synthesizers, Mary Steinbrecher on Electric Bass and Jack Victor on Drumkit and occasionally keys. They are in the process of recording and producing their second full length LP. Their music is best described as slowcore and alternative indie with a dash of Americana.

KINSHIP is the alt-folk recording project of upstate-NY-native-turned-Boston-music-person Steve Kurz. Kinship’s 2024 record, ‘Today and Tomorrow Night’, is about the space between what can and can't be controlled, thinking and overthinking, homes real and imagined. Leaning into home recording as a means to reflect the sonic ethos of a physical space, the groundedness of Kinship’s sound serves as the anchor to the themes of curiosity – equal parts cosmic, introspective, and playful – that emerge in the record’s lyrics. For the summer of 2025, the stars align and Kinship manifests as a four-piece band of longtime musical collaborators, friends, and heroes: Max Morton, Luke Diamond, and Roy “bigroy” Marshall.

BADVRIL (San Fran) - San Francisco based, Badvril, is derived directly from dichotomy. From creating contrast both sonically and aesthetically, the band seeks to generate a persona that is true to the creator, lead singer, and lead guitarist, Becket Schroeder.

Badvril pulls influence from rural upbringings representing their diy spirit while also drawing from city elements in their visual storytelling. Additionally, the band attempts to layer soft hazy vocals with jarring instrumentals to further their juxtaposing ideals.

SOPHIA CORINNE - "Sophia Corinne harvests poetry for the lines of each song from her life, one lived paying attention. Her songs are witness to the raw difficulties and layered radiant joys that every heart bears.
