Drums, Guitars; Vice, no Guilt; Velveteen & Wool. Tending little forest traps for one another, blurring the line between negligence and agility, like an old drunk, elegantly riding the waves of Live Oak roots in the brick sidewalks, almost home.

LAVENDER BLUE - The vessel for the songwriting and guitar playing of Kayla Zuskin. Lavender Blue the band consists of Mike Henry Johnson on Pedal Steel and Synthesizers, Mary Steinbrecher on Electric Bass and Jack Victor on Drumkit and occasionally keys. They are in the process of recording and producing their second full length LP. Their music is best described as slowcore and alternative indie with a dash of Americana.

KINSHIP is the alt-folk recording project of upstate-NY-native-turned-Boston-music-person Steve Kurz. Kinship’s 2024 record, ‘Today and Tomorrow Night’, is about the space between what can and can't be controlled, thinking and overthinking, homes real and imagined. Leaning into home recording as a means to reflect the sonic ethos of a physical space, the groundedness of Kinship’s sound serves as the anchor to the themes of curiosity – equal parts cosmic, introspective, and playful – that emerge in the record’s lyrics. For the summer of 2025, the stars align and Kinship manifests as a four-piece band of longtime musical collaborators, friends, and heroes: Max Morton, Luke Diamond, and Roy “bigroy” Marshall.

BADVRIL (San Fran) - San Francisco based, Badvril, is derived directly from dichotomy. From creating contrast both sonically and aesthetically, the band seeks to generate a persona that is true to the creator, lead singer, and lead guitarist, Becket Schroeder.

Badvril pulls influence from rural upbringings representing their diy spirit while also drawing from city elements in their visual storytelling. Additionally, the band attempts to layer soft hazy vocals with jarring instrumentals to further their juxtaposing ideals.

Libby Rodenbough is from Greensboro, North Carolina, and has played with the four-piece folk band Mipso for more than a decade. Her debut album as a solo artist, Spectacle of Love—an intimate, inventive chronicle of heartache and abjection—was released in 2020; she has also built up numerous collaborations in the tight-knit North Carolina music scene....

A singing trio of wide eyed dears living in Sandymush North Carolina, Lemonbalm is the project of April Wilson, Kortney Schwartz and Lyndsey Brummell. They started hootin and hollerin about all things love and longing in 2024. With tight harmonies, thoughtful simplicity, and sparse acoustic accompaniment, they echo the spirit of the past, and the glimmer of worlds that could yet become.

Since debuting, he has continued to forge a path of his own, having extensively toured the US and shared stages with acts such as Kontravoid, Buzz Kull, The Soft Moon, Twin Tribes, Actors, Spike Hellis, Geneva Jacuzzi, and more. The 2022 album "A New Calm" solidified the project's stamp on the genre. Signed to German-based label Young & Cold Records, anticipation is building after the announcement of a new album on the way and new band members joining Blood Handsome live.

LONE QUAIL writes songs about lost places, stray chases, and finding your covey. While traces of doo-wop, experimental pop, psychedelia, and even post-punk wend their way through the music, her core inspiration is shaped by iconic roots artists such as Townes Van Zandt, Emmylou Harris, Neil Young, Freddy Fender, and Vic Chesnutt. 

She also draws heavily from the pioneers of the early alt-country scene--Cowboy Junkies, Freakwater, and Giant Sand--lending her songs a quiet edginess and subterranean power. LQ was born and raised in rural northern New Hampshire, made homes for herself all over the world, and now holes up in Santa Barbara, California.

MECHANICAL RIVER - Mechanical River is the moniker for Charleston, South Carolina native Joel Hamilton’s most recent musical project — a lo-fi folk masterpiece constructed with fuzzed out, crooning vocals, crunchy acoustic guitar arrangements, and drum machine percussion. In the spirit of true DIY, Hamilton plays every instrument on his debut album Astral Castle, which he recorded and produced himself.

 is an avant-rock trio that formed in 2002. They play instrumental music that is meticulously thru-composed and relentlessly paced from beginning to end, morphing through perpetually evolving subtle variations of unfolding poly-tonal melodies that are simultaneously angular and organic. The current lineup is Shane Parish on guitar, Trevor Dunn on bass, and Danny Piechocki on drums. Their 9th studio album, Expansion, was released on October 22, 2022 on Trevor Dunn’s Riverworm Records.

 is an Asheville-based improv trio. Comprised of Brett Naucke (electronics), Thom Nguyen (drums), and Adam Lion (vibraphone), the trio utilizes an idiosyncratic improvisational language which prioritizes spontaneity, process, and the unknown. A sonic mishmash of cacophony, harmony, density and repetition, the group embodies musical extremes which branch in every direction.

combine prog rock excess with 1970s power pop ear Candy. Like other Texas luminaries Doug Sahm and Billy Joe Shaver, Aubrey's lyricism combine heart felt sincerity with self reflective humor. Modular synth Wizard Jared Hooker gives the music a sophisticated, harmonic language, creating the perfect backdrop for Andy Burns' incendiary lead guitar. Drummer Joe Exposito and bassist Steve Streit dutifully serve the song providing a firm back bone to these rock 'n' roll gems.

 - Night Hawk is an American indie rock band from Brunswick, Maine, now based in Washington, D.C. Originally a songwriting vehicle for Colter Adams (Indigo Boulevard) and Peyton Semjen, the project has evolved into an acclaimed live act, earning a devoted following for its delicate guitar work, enchanting harmonies, and clear-eyed lyricism.

Adams and Semjen's music is defined by stark geometry and bold imagery, underpinned by a deep sense of melancholia and repose. SIMON JOYNER (Omaha, NE) is a world-renowned American singer-songwriter from Omaha, Nebraska who has released albums on independent labels since the early 90’s. His music is often compared to Leonard Cohen, Lou Reed, and Townes Van Zandt for its exploration of dark themes and its poetic storytelling. Gillian Welch calls him her favorite poet and Kevin Morby and Conor Oberst both claim him as a major influence.

LEAH SENIOR - Australian folk diviner Leah Senior silences audiences with vivid lyricism and a voice that soars with a disarmingly honest Sandy Denny-like clarity. Quietly revered as a master songwriter, she effortlessly weaves together spring-time baroque pop playfulness with a fragile blend of 60’s bedroom folk.

A chance late night encounter with King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard saw Leah Senior joining their independent label Flightless to release her first three albums. 

Her captivating live performances have seen her perform extensively throughout Australia and Europe opening for the likes of Jessica Pratt, Bedouine, Jeff Tweedy and Juliana Barwick.

JACKIE KELSH is an optimistically sardonic storyteller who will have you laughing hysterically one moment and drinking to forget the chaos of life the next.

The Silver Doors

Mexico City based band Mint Field is one of these bands that make it shine. Guided by Estrella del Sol and Sebastian Neyra. Mint Field creates a unique blend of avant dream pop and shoegaze with some touches of trip hop that explores the nostalgia and melancholy of daily life with strong guitars and voices that are like sighs. Intrumentation and atmospheres are accompanied by delicate, harmonious and ethereal voices that are fundamental part of the sound.

The Silver Doors are something like Appalachian Desert Rock. Blending a love of psych, blues, garage rock, new wave, and shoegaze. Guitar riffs, fuzzy violins, thundering drums + bass.

Alex Homan is a songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and frequent musical collaborator most recently based in Vermont. His collaborative projects include Tendrills, Delaware Dan, Plake 64 & the Hexagrams, and Heumann Homan Highway, among others.

Chattanooga shoegaze band MULT made a bold statement with their debut EP 

, released in September 2024 via Delayed Gratification Records.

The band expands the boundaries of shoegaze, blending elements of alt-rock and grunge with the moody, introspective feel of acoustic-powered slowcore.

 echoes the shoegaze revival while paying homage to the genre’s ‘90s-era pioneers. Yet, MULT infuses the sound with inventive touches, carving out their distinctive voice.

Forming in South Florida with the intention to record a short EP and play one show, Gouge Away were driven by the need to write music and take a stab at topics they weren’t hearing in their local scene. They were influenced by bands like Fugazi, Unwound, The Jesus Lizard, Nirvana, Sonic Youth, and Paint it Black.

A couple years later, they put out “, Dies” on local label, Eighty-Sixed Records, which they didn’t expect to reach beyond their hometown. After some touring, they released “Burnt Sugar” on Deathwish Inc. in 2018 which naturally took a more personal approach when Christina Michelle was dealing with her mom’s heart complications and misdiagnoses. Following the release of the album, they toured extensively throughout the US and beyond. While on tour and in their small pockets of downtime, they eagerly wrote and demoed songs for a third album, pulling influence not only from the nostalgia of the bands they grew up listening to, but developing and pushing the sense of urgency, noise, and introspective lyrics they felt most represented them.

Touring came to a halt in 2020, canceling a full year of plans in an instant. Gouge Away took time for themselves to move to different parts of the country and focus on their personal lives. On New Years Eve just beginning 2022, they decided it was time to revisit their demoed material, and to do it justice by allowing it to see the light of day.

They recorded with Jack Shirley at Atomic Garden East in March 2023, completely analog to tape and almost entirely live, without the use of a computer. The goal was to sound like five friends playing music in a room together, unpolished and far from being over-produced, which is what the heart of Gouge Away has always been.
